Thai-Style Pork Belly Burgers
The rich flavor of pork belly is mixed with the bright and spicy flavors of Thai food to make these Thai-style pork belly burgers. For taste buds that like to try new things
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork belly
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chili pepper, finely chopped
- 1 stalk lemongrass, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced cucumber
- Sriracha mayo for topping
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork belly, minced garlic, chopped red chili pepper, minced lemongrass, grated ginger, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar
Form the mixture into 4 burger patties
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat
Grill the pork belly burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred
While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly browned
Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a pork belly patty, sliced cucumber, and a generous drizzle of Sriracha mayo
Top with fresh cilantro and the remaining bun halves
Serve hot and enjoy your Thai-style pork belly burgers
