  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 large eggs, fried
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Butter, for cooking

Instructions:

Mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl with a whisk

Add the cheddar cheese shreds and mix them in

Beat the two eggs in a different bowl, then add the milk and melted butter

Combine well

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed

Dont mix it too much; a few lumps are fine

Follow the directions that came with your waffle iron to heat it up, and then brush it with some butter

Put the waffle batter on a waffle iron that has already been heated up

Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp

In a skillet, cook the bacon until its crispy while the waffles are cooking

Take it off and let it dry on paper towels

Fry the four eggs in the same pan until they are done the way you like them

Add pepper and salt

On top of each fried egg, put a slice of cheddar cheese

Cover the pan for a short time to melt the cheese

Place a cheddar waffle on a plate, top with two bacon slices and a cheesy fried egg, and then add another cheddar waffle on top

Put the Cheddar Waffle Breakfast Sandwiches out and let people dip them in maple syrup
