Apple Fritter Doughnuts
A delectable treat with a hint of cinnamon, apple fritter doughnuts are filled with soft, juicy apples. Perfect as a sweet snack or for breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl
Mix the melted butter, eggs, and milk in a separate bowl
After adding the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, thoroughly mix them together
Mix the batter with the diced apples
Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius
Spoonfuls of the doughnut batter should be dropped into the heated oil and fried, turning once, until golden brown
Using a slotted spoon, remove the apple fritter doughnuts and place them on paper towels to drain
Optional: Use a simple sugar glaze or dust with powdered sugar
