Gluten-Free Grandmas Goop

A delicious gluten-free version of Grandmas old goop recipe, great for holiday parties or as a snack any time of the year. Made with crunchy rice cereal, salty pretzels, sweet marshmallows, chocolate chips, and sour cranberries. Covered in a sweet and sticky mix of honey, vanilla, and coconut oil. Its too good to resist

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gluten-free rice cereal
  • 1 cup gluten-free pretzels, broken into small pieces
  • 1 cup gluten-free mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 300F 150C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice cereal, broken pretzels, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and dried cranberries

In a small saucepan, melt the coconut oil over low heat

Stir in the honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract until well combined

Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and toss until everything is evenly coated

Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mixture is golden brown and toasted

Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet

Once cooled, break the mixture into clusters and store in an airtight container
