Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls are a delicious and simple treat. Creamy peanut butter combined with powdered sugar, then dipped in dark chocolate - the ideal combination for any occasion

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

Instructions:

Put the creamy peanut butter and softened unsalted butter in a large bowl and mix them together until they are well blended

Add the powdered sugar slowly to the peanut butter mixture and mix it in until it turns into a thick dough

Put parchment paper on the bottom of a baking sheet

Make peanut butter balls about an inch across and put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared

Put the peanut butter balls in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to cool down

In a bowl that can go in the microwave, melt the vegetable shortening and chocolate chips together for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each one

Do this until the mixture is smooth and melted

Dip each cold peanut butter ball all the way through with a fork or toothpick into the melted chocolate

Put the balls back on the baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper

If you want to make the balls look nicer, you can drizzle some melted chocolate on top of them

Put the peanut butter balls covered in chocolate back in the fridge for another 30 minutes to let the chocolate coating set
