Outdoor Wine and Pizza Party Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
Preheat your outdoor pizza oven or grill to high heat around 500F or 260C
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness
Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce
Layer on the pepperoni, bell peppers, red onions, black olives, and mushrooms
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings
Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and pepper on top
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated outdoor oven or grill
Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned
Remove the pizza from the oven or grill using a pizza peel or spatula
Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the hot pizza
Drizzle with a little olive oil for extra flavor
Slice the pizza and serve immediately at your outdoor wine and pizza party
