- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 16 soft caramel candies, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Mix the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and flour together in a bowl using a whisk
Place the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a different large bowl
Mix them together until they are smooth
Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the butter and sugar until everything is well mixed together
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until a smooth dough forms
Spread out about a tablespoon of cookie dough in your hand
In the middle, put a caramel cane and wrap the dough around it, making sure the edges are sealed
Cover all of the caramel with the dough as you roll it into a ball
Do it again with the rest of the dough and caramels
Leaving some space between each cookie, put the dough balls on the baking sheet that has been made ready
Put it in an oven that is already hot for 10 to 12 minutes
Take the cookies out of the oven and leave them on the baking sheet for five minutes to cool down
Move the cookies to a wire rack to cool all the way down
After the cookies have cooled, sprinkle them with powdered sugar
